Adriana Chimirel is a lawyer at MUNERA. Adriana received her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and Criticism from the University of Toronto in 2011. She then attended the University of Southampton where she received her Bachelor of Laws in 2014. Finally, she attended Osgoode Hall School Law School in Toronto where she received her Master of Laws in 2015.
Adriana practices in the area of litigation and has a primary focus on family law, estates, property and employment litigation matters. Adriana's expertise also includes matters involving residential and commercial real estate. Prior to joining MUNERA, Adriana played a central part at a boutique Bay Street firm in developing and establishing its family law department. Adriana worked on matters involving Uncontested Divorces, Separation Agreements, Cohabitation Agreements and Marriage Contracts. Adriana was chosen for a very competitive barrister training role with the Crown Prosecution Service in the United Kingdom. Adriana spent two months working on a complex money laundering case that involved multiple defendants and victims where the Crown successfully convicted 4 of the 5 defendants on trial on charges of money laundering and conspiracy to defraud. Adriana has also worked on a complex case involving servitude, which has become a reoccurring issue in the European Union where the freedom of movement of European citizens is easier than it has ever been. Adriana has since completed a novel and intends to donate all proceeds to a human trafficking organization. Adriana has experience before the Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice as well as the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. Adriana is fully bilingual in English, French, Spanish and Romanian. |
